Grupo Iberpapel’s net profit increases 10.05% to €25.2 million

Grupo Iberpapel has reported net profit of €25.2 million for 2018, growth of 10.05% from 2017 (€22.9 million). EBITDA, meanwhile, was 10.85% higher at €40.9 million.
Revenue amounted to €221.1 million, up 1.85% from 2017 (€217.1 million).
Earnings momentum at Grupo Iberpapel thus extended the trend of previous years. In 2018, earnings growth was driven by higher sales of paper (1.77%, underpinned by higher sales prices throughout the year) and timber. The Group stepped up its forestry activity in South America during 2018, which translated into growth in timber sales of 34% compared to 2017.
